How CNLC Tests Outdoor Display Equipment for Transportation Reliability
How CNLC Tests Outdoor Display Equipment for Transportation Reliability
Sep 21, 2026
For outdoor display systems, product reliability does not end when manufacturing is complete. From long-haul transportation and cargo handling to delivery and installation at the project site, display equipment and its protective packaging may be exposed to mechanical vibration and other transportation-related stresses.
As part of its product reliability testing activities, CNLC conducts vibration testing on packaged outdoor display equipment. By simulating mechanical stresses associated with transportation, the test helps evaluate the stability of the equipment and its protective packaging before shipment.
Simulating Real-World Transportation Conditions
Before shipment, outdoor display equipment is secured inside export wooden crates. During overseas transportation, products may go through road transportation, sea freight and cargo handling, where continuous movement and vibration can occur.During the test, CNLC places the fully packaged unit directly on a vibration testing platform without unpacking it. This setup allows the equipment to be evaluated in its packaged transportation condition, with attention to both the structural stability of the display unit and the protective performance of its packaging.Conducting this type of testing before shipment provides an additional level of evaluation and helps identify potential transportation-related issues before equipment is delivered to overseas projects.
Multi-Dimensional Reliability and Performance Testing
Transportation vibration testing is one part of CNLC's broader testing capabilities for outdoor LED and LCD display equipment. The testing program covers multiple aspects of product performance and reliability, including structure, display performance, environmental conditions, protection and material quality.
Testing activities include:
Transportation and mechanical testing: Vibration and related mechanical testing
Display performance testing: LED module push-force testing, brightness testing and related performance checks
Environmental reliability testing: Environmental aging, temperature cycling and solar radiation testing
Protection testing: IP rating evaluation and IK10 impact protection testing
Electrical and electromagnetic testing: EMC testing, electrical performance and safety-related evaluation
Structural and material testing: Enclosure and surface-treatment evaluation, including powder coating thickness measurement
Using different testing equipment and laboratory environments, CNLC evaluates various product performance and reliability requirements across product development, manufacturing quality control and project delivery. The testing activities cover not only the display equipment itself, but also areas such as packaging and transportation, outdoor environmental conditions, protective structures and surface treatment.
This multi-dimensional approach supports the evaluation of outdoor LED displays, outdoor LCD digital signage and related display equipment from factory production and packaging to transportation, installation and outdoor operation.
Supporting Reliability for Global Project Delivery
For outdoor display equipment used in overseas projects, reliability extends beyond factory acceptance. It also involves packaging, transportation, handling and installation before the equipment reaches its final operating environment.
The crated vibration test shown here is part of CNLC's broader product reliability and environmental testing capabilities. Combined with its other performance, environmental, protection and electrical testing activities, CNLC supports the development and delivery of outdoor LED displays, outdoor LCD digital signage, LCD totems and related display solutions for global projects.
